In the digital age, archival institutions seek to adapt and modernize. The Internet could therefore become a new place of memory for archives, nowadays graphic design has failed to find its place in the field of archives. Very few graphic designers question the subject, which is why I found it interesting to dwell on it.
My dissertation explores the relationship that we create between new technologies and archival documents, by questioning the place of design in the digital distribution of archives, and more precisely the role that graphic design has with the accessibility of archives on the internet.
